Built-In by Design was founded by Heather English simply because she believed there was an industry need for a dedicated, trustworthy, all-encompassing approach while providing superior service with first quality materials and excellent craftsmanship within an affordable budget.

The Built-In by Design Team prides themselves on their expertise in cabinetry, but more importantly on their ‘personal’ approach to each project they oversee. Their innate ability to truly ‘listen’ and get to know their clients on a one-on-one basis allows them to understand their clients daily needs, in turn providing them with a space that is not only aesthetically pleasing, but is fully functional and tailored to their day-to-day activities.

Heather has an innate eye-for-design, and a passion for creating beautiful spaces. Born into a family of entrepreneurs, and finding her love of cabinetry design, Built-In by Design was created. 

Raised in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, Heather later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Merchandising from The University of Georgia. She was awarded the title of Miss Georgia USA in 2002 and dedicated that time in her life to philanthropy focused on children with life-threatening illnesses and special needs.

Her career path took her to Los Angeles and New York, where she gained experience in business and design, quickly expanding her horizons in these major markets. Finding a balance of creativity and function while working with clients to establish and create their most personalized spaces, Heather found her niche in kitchen and bath design. She began working with Distinguished Kitchens & Baths in 2015 as a Design Consultant and quickly became the Showroom Manager. Heather founded Built-In by Design in 2019.

Tommy English brings a wealth of expertise in marketing, customer experience, and sales, armed with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Hospitality Administration from The Florida State University. Graduating in 2006, Tommy’s leadership is characterized by innate qualities, exceptional time management, and a logistical mindset that enhances workplace efficiency. He excels in relationship building, driving positive outcomes through strategic management and customer engagement.

Mark Wicihowski is a professional with over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, specializing in custom cabinetry, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills throughout his career, and managing large teams in field operations with finesse. His keen attention to detail allows him to navigate the intricate demands of the construction industry, providing innovative solutions to complex challenges. His commitment to excellence and unwavering work ethic drive success in every project he undertakes.

Amy Doherty is committed to crafting exceptional designs that reflect her clients’ unique personalities and lifestyles. With a focus on functional and thoughtful design, she believes in elevating spaces to create exceptional experiences. Amy values collaboration and effective communication throughout the design process, recognizing their crucial role in project conceptualization and success.

Gino Damian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Florida Atlantic University. His passion for architecture and design emerged at a young age and blossomed into a career focused on residential design. Graduating in 2020 amidst the pandemic, Gino’s expertise spans interior design and construction knowledge. He is known for his timeless aesthetics, natural color palettes, and meticulous attention to detail, creating spaces that perfectly align with clients’ needs and preferences.
